These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the LodgeSpot mobile application and related services ("Service"). By accessing or using LodgeSpot, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About LodgeSpot

LodgeSpot is a marketplace platform that helps users discover and book lodges. LodgeSpot does not own, manage, or operate any lodges listed on the platform. All accommodation services are provided directly by the lodges.

2. Eligibility

To use LodgeSpot, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old, or
  • Have permission from a parent or legal guardian

By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. User Accounts

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • Keep your contact details correct
  • Use the platform responsibly and lawfully

You are responsible for all activity conducted through your account.

4. Bookings

LodgeSpot allows users to request or make bookings with listed lodges.

  • Booking availability, pricing, and conditions are determined by the lodge.
  • A booking is confirmed only when LodgeSpot confirms payment and the lodge acknowledges the booking.

5. Payments

LodgeSpot facilitates payments for bookings made through the platform.

  • Payments are held temporarily by LodgeSpot and are released to the lodge after the customer's check-in is confirmed.
  • LodgeSpot's role is limited to facilitating payment and release of funds and does not provide accommodation services.

LodgeSpot is not responsible for:

  • The quality, safety, or condition of the accommodation
  • Services provided by the lodge
  • Disputes arising after check-in

Any pricing, cancellation, or refund terms are set by the lodge and communicated to the customer before booking.

6. Cancellation and Refunds

  • Cancellation and refund policies are determined by each lodge.
  • Users are responsible for understanding a lodge's policy before booking.
  • Refunds, if applicable, are issued according to the lodge's rules and may be processed by LodgeSpot after check-in confirmation.

7. Lodge Listings

Lodge information is provided by lodge owners.

While LodgeSpot aims to keep listings accurate, it does not guarantee:

  • Prices
  • Availability
  • Quality or condition of accommodation
  • Accuracy of photos or descriptions

Users are encouraged to confirm details directly with the lodge.

8. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Abuse, harass, or threaten lodge owners or other users
  • Use the platform for unlawful or fraudulent activities
  • Attempt to damage or disrupt the Service

LodgeSpot may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • LodgeSpot is not liable for losses, damages, or disputes arising from stays at lodges.
  • LodgeSpot is not responsible for actions, omissions, or services provided by lodges.
  • Use of the Service is at your own risk.

10. Termination

LodgeSpot may suspend or terminate access at any time if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • The Service is misused
  • Required by law

You may stop using the Service at any time.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on LodgeSpot, including the name, logo, design, and software, belongs to LodgeSpot or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute LodgeSpot content without permission.

12. Changes to These Terms

LodgeSpot may update these Terms from time to time. Updated versions will be posted in the app with a new effective date. Continued use of LodgeSpot indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda.
